Introduction to PACS

With advances in medical imaging emphasizing digitization, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) offer medical practices economical storage, rapid retrieval and simultaneous access to digital images acquired with multiple modalities. Pocket PACS Archive

This low power, yet robust machine, sometimes known as a “store and forward router” efficiently manages the distribution and archival of images captured from various modalities. The purpose of the Pocket PACS Archive is to hold and transfer images to the PACS Archive at a more convenient time to maximize bandwidth and performance of the PACS Archive solution. The Pocket PACS Archive can also be configured to meet the PACS archival needs of small clinics, imaging centers, chiropractic, and orthopedics.

Pocket PACS-XL Archive

The Pocket PACS-XL Archive offers the same distribution and archival capabilities as the standard Pocket PACS Archive plus extended RAID 1 storage. The Pocket PACS-XL Archive offers 1 TB of usable storage with dual copy capabilities.

PACS Archive (Medium-Sized Office)

The PACS Archive designed for medium-sized offices provides up to six times the processing power of the Pocket PACS Archive and offers a storage capacity ranging between 500 MB and 6 TB. The PACS Archive features RAID auto-backup, redundant power, and multiple GB Ethernet interfaces. Additionally, the PACS Archive from Essential Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (EESi) offers simplified expansion capabilities to support growth without additional licenses to purchase.

PACS Archive (Large Office)

The rack-mountable PACS Archive for large offices and imaging facilities offers a wide-range of configurations to meet the needs of even the largest and busiest practice. The PACS Archive for large offices provides two times the processing power of the PACS Archive, up to 24 TB of storage capacity, RAID auto-backup, redundant power, and multiple GB Ethernet interfaces.

Important Note: The PACS Archive Servers from Essential Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (EESi) fall under the FDA classification of 21 CFR 892.2010 Medical image storage device, and are exempt from premarket notification procedures in subpart E of part 807.
